CLIMMAR Congress in Bruges
Online since 22-10-2026
CLIMMAR, the association of Dealers and Distributors of Agricultural Machinery and Equipment, held its annual Congress in Bruges on 21-23 October 2026, hosted by the Belgian CLIMMAR member Fedagrim. Representatives from 16 member organisations gathered to discuss the state of play and important issues on the European dealers and distributors agenda.
“Europe’s farmers rely on dealers who know their machines, their land and their business. When our members from 16 countries meet like this, we strengthen that local expertise and make sure Brussels hears the dealer’s voice on the issues that matter to the sector,” stated CLIMMAR President Tomas Kvapil at this second Congress as CLIMMAR President in Bruges, Belgium.
The event brought together agricultural machinery dealers from across Europe, providing an opportunity for a fruitful exchange of ideas at the CNH Factory in Zedelgem. During the Congress, members discussed current issues relevant to the sector, as well as the future development of the association. With guests from CEMA, CEETTAR, the European Commission and ILVO, CLIMMAR discussed issues surrounding agriculture and digitalisation.
Vice President Romain Meunier looked ahead to the next Congress: “After such a warm welcome in Bruges by our colleagues from Fedagrim, we are delighted to invite our European colleagues to Bordeaux in October 2027. SEDIMA is looking forward to hosting the CLIMMAR Congress and to continuing the exchange of ideas and experience that makes these gatherings so valuable for dealers across Europe.”
Reflecting on the discussions on the future of the Common Agricultural Policy (CAP) and the next generation of farmers, Vice President Jan Holk stated: “Young farmers expect precision, connectivity and efficiency. That means mechanisation must be at the heart of the Commission’s Generational Renewal Strategy. Dealers are close to the next generation every day and are ready to help make farming an attractive career.”
Looking to the future, Treasurer Isabella Fontana highlighted what CLIMMAR delivers for dealers across Europe: “We are contributing to an association that provides long-term benefits for its members. By pooling our knowledge and resources, we empower dealers across Europe.”
Next year, the CLIMMAR Congress will take place in Bordeaux in October 2027, hosted by the French member association SEDIMA.
