CLIMMAR Congress in Turin
CLIMMAR is the united voice of Europe’s agricultural machinery dealers, representing over 15,000 businesses and 159,000 employees in Europe. "In an era of rapid technological and structural change, our mission is to empower our members. We have something incredibly valuable, deep, practical know-how in agricultural machinery distribution and strong, trusted relationships with our customers.” stated CLIMMAR President Tomas Kvapil at this first Congress as CLIMMAR President in Turin, Italy.
The event brought together agricultural machinery dealers from across Europe, providing an opportunity for a fruitful exchange of ideas. During the congress, members discussed current issues relevant to the sector, as well as the future development of the association. Speeches were given by Alberto Cirio (President of the Piedmont Region), Giovanni Crosetto (Member of the European Parliament), Massimiliano Giansanti (President of Copa-Cogeca), Alessandro Malavolti (Vice-President of CEMA), Jacob Nielsen (Vice-President of CEETTAR) and Maria Teresa Maschio (President of FederUnacoma), as well as the Italian Minister of Agriculture, Francesco Lollobrigida.
Vice President, Romain Meunier, commented on the current transformation of agriculture: "As an organisation embedded in the agricultural ecosystem, we see first-hand the consequences of an ageing workforce and falling numbers of young farmers, as well as the barriers that put off the next generation from pursuing a career in farming. It is vital that the Generational Renewal Strategy of the European Commission tackles the issue with a focus on mechanization of agriculture.”
Reflecting on the discussions on the future of the Common Agricultural Policy (CAP), Vice President Jan Holk stated:" As the voice of European agricultural machinery dealers and repairers, CLIMMAR is committed to ensuring innovation reaches every farmer. We believe that the post-2027 Common Agricultural Policy should recognise the dealer network as a cornerstone of transformation by empowering farmers with access to modern machinery."
Looking to the future, Treasurer Isabella Fontana highlighted the contribution of CLIMMAR members to the development of the association for the benefit of dealers across Europe: "Our working groups are a great place to share and learn from the experiences of dealer organisations across Europe. Together, we're working to keep CLIMMAR moving forward."
Next year in October 2026 the CLIMMAR-Congress will be in Belgium, our member association Fedagrim proudly invites us to Bruges.
