Online since 23-03-2026
A total of 96,323 new tractors were registered in 13 CLIMMAR member countries in 2025. Compared to 2024, when 104,395 tractors were registered, this represents a decline of approximately 8 percent. The data was provided by the national CLIMMAR member organizations from Austria, Belgium, Switzerland, the Czech Republic, Germany, Denmark, Finland, France, Hungary, Italy, the Netherlands, Poland, and Sweden.

The trend in tractor registrations in 2025 is mixed across Europe, with most markets experiencing a decline. Finland and Denmark recorded particularly sharp declines of 29 and 26 percent, respectively. Several other major markets also saw negative growth, including France (down 14 percent), Germany (down 11 percent), the Netherlands (down 13 percent) and Austria (down 11 percent). Moderate declines were seen in Poland and Sweden at −3 percent and in the Czech Republic at −6 percent respectively. In contrast, some markets grew in 2025. The strongest growth was recorded in Italy (+14 percent) and Hungary (+9 percent). Switzerland also recorded slight growth of around 3 percent.

In 2025, the largest tractor markets within the CLIMMAR countries analysed were France (33,251 new registrations), Germany (20,497 registrations) and Italy (17,552 registrations).

When considering the total market share across all analysed countries, the following leading brands emerge for 2025: Fendt with 13,936 registrations, John Deere with 13,762 registrations, and New Holland with 10,477 registrations.

When interpreting the figures, it should be noted that Austria and Italy report the total number of all registered tractors, regardless of engine power. In the other countries, only tractors with a power output of 50 hp or more are recorded.
