EU Policymakers Explore Innovation at Agribex 2025

Online since 03-12-2025
On 3 December 2025, CLIMMAR, in collaboration with CEMA, Agoria, and Fedagrim, welcomed representatives from the European Commission and the European Parliament to Agribex 2025 for a guided tour. During the two-hour tour, participants discovered the latest machinery, data solutions and automation technologies that are transforming European agriculture.
Bringing together experts from DG AGRI, DG SANTE, DG CNECT and DG GROW, the tour offered a unique opportunity for EU policymakers to connect with industry leaders and explore how innovation can support a more sustainable, productive and attractive future for farming.
The guided tour provided participants with an overview of innovations across the sector. It began at the Data Transmission Island, where ILVO presented the Common European Agricultural Data Space (CEADS) and emphasised the importance of secure data sharing. After that, the group visited CNH Industrial to discover AI-powered harvesting technologies developed in Belgium. This was followed by a visit to Aerts Rapide, which showcased solutions to reduce plant-protection inputs. At Lely, policymakers explored robotics that enhance the efficiency of dairy farms. The tour then moved on to Delvano, a Belgian manufacturer of precision sprayers with innovative connectivity features, before concluding at Agrivaux, where visitors saw METIS, a showcase of mechanical weeding innovations designed to reduce inputs.
CLIMMAR is proud to have contributed to this constructive dialogue between industry innovators and EU decision-makers. The range of technologies on display, from AI-powered harvesters and intelligent sprayers to robotic dairy solutions, data-sharing platforms and advanced mechanical weeding, illustrates the sector’s strong commitment to supporting farmers through innovation.
We would like to thank all the exhibitors, participants and partners for their contributions. We would particularly like to express our appreciation to Fedagrim and Agoria for their essential contribution to making this event possible.
