On the 18th of August, Climmar organized an extra ordinary General Assembly in Essen, Germany. The meaning of this meeting was to inform the Climmar members on the EU Regulation on Repair and Maintenance Information (RMI). The purpose of this EU regulation is obligatory acces to information and data of agricultural and forestry machinery (type T, C, R and S) for repair and maintenance, (as it is developed in the automotive business already). The basic principle is Non -discrimination > no different treatment of authorized and independent operators in relation to Repair and Maintenance. This EU regulation is foreseen to be in effect as of january 2018.

The assemble Climmar members were intensively informed on the meaning and consequences of the RMI regulation. This was done by Mr. Neofitos Arathymos, Head of Department Technique, Safety and Environment of the German Association for Motor Trade and Repair and leads expert on this topic. Is is without a doubt that the RMI regulation will be of great importance to our branche. The important question now is how we as Climmar will act on it.

In the coming weeks, the Climmar memberassociations will inforr their respective Boards on the topic. The final decison on how to act will be made by Climmar during the Climmar congress in Stockholm, Sweden.
