Successes at EuroSkills 2018

Online since 02-10-2018
From 26 - 28 September, the beautiful city of Budapest hosted the 10th edition of EuroSkills, the European Championship of young professionals. And all medals in the category Heavy Vehicle Technology were won by a young professional from a CLIMMAR member nation!
EuroSkills is the biggest event of its kind in Europe. Over 500 participants from 28 countries competed in 37 different professions including Heavy Vehicle Technology: the future mechanics and technician to fuel the CLIMMAR Industry. All in all, over 70,000 visitors paid a visit to the competition.

Gold for Switzerland
In the category Heavy Vehicle Technology Simon Rüedi from Switzerland won the gold medal, followed by Manuel Fahrnecker from Austria who won silver and Dinand Hekman from The Netherlands who won the bronze medal.

Education and training are very important topics for CLIMMAR and that’s why CLIMMAR actively supports both the EuroSkills and WorldSkills competitions. Even before joining the organisation of EuroSkills, the own CLIMMAR Skills have shown the aim to create a European platform for vocational training. Two CLIMMAR Skills editions took place before joining WorldSkills Europe for a larger information.

The next edition of EuroSkills will take place in 2020 in the Austrian city of Graz.
