A successful start - the International Dealers Lunch was a complete success at Agritechnica

Online since 10-01-2024
This new idea turned out to be a highlight: for the first time, the International Dealers Lunch took place during Agritechnica under the conceptual sponsorship of the German and European umbrella organisations of agri-cultural and construction machinery dealers CLIMMAR, organised by DLG, AT and LBT e.V.

Around 100 young dealers from all over Europe came together in the Skybar at the exhibition center to discuss current topics such as the current situation of their colleagues and the four-day week.

"We believe it is extremely important to offer dealers visiting Agritechnica, the world's largest agricultural machinery trade fair in Hanover, a platform for dialogue. The positive response showed us that we have struck a nerve here, which I am personally very pleased about," said Stefan Sprock, Vice President of CLIMMAR, summarising the successful start. The Dealers Lunch was opened by Freya von Czettritz, who focused in particular on the new togetherness: "It's wonderful to see you all here again, which was not possible in times of corona. It is all the more important to get topics on the table here that concern us all in our everyday lives and are at the top of our list of priorities." Trade and crafts are an essential factor in rural areas and are indispensable in the interplay between agriculture as a user and industry as a manufacturer of modern agricultural technology - the associations, together with the DLG, want to take this into account with this new networking format.

Ulf Kopplin, President of the LandBauTechnik Bundesverband, agreed and opened the discussion with a statement on his recently published presidential letter. This letter calls on suppliers in particular to adopt the dealer perspective and take responsibility for issues relating to warehouse financing in the face of rising interest rates.

The shortage of skilled labour and the search for suitable employees and potential trainees was also at the heart of the exchange. Topics relating to new technologies such as high-voltage vehicles, smart farming and the use of drones in agricultural technology were also discussed. "There was a lot to talk about - on many different topics. A successful start for a format with potential. I'm sure that everyone benefited from this event. We will certainly repeat it," added Stefan Sprock.
